CBT Motorcycle Course For Novice Riders
If you're older than 17 years old, an A1 license lets you remove your L plates, ride a scooter, or a small motorcycle, and carry a pillion passenger.

Compulsory basic training (CBT)
The CBT is a mandatory course for all new riders. It typically takes a full day to complete and if you are able to meet the required standards at the end of the day, your instructor will present you with a certificate of accomplishment that is known as a DL196.
In this course, you will learn to operate on a motorcycle. You will be supervised throughout the course by a knowledgeable instructor. You will also be given a brief theory session which will teach you about the highway code and road rules as well as safe and safe lane positioning. The next part of the CBT will involve riding on the spot. Theory of Module 1 Test

After passing your Module 1 then you'll then be able to take your Module 2 test, which takes place on the roads. The examiner will lead you on a short route around the local area, and will give you around 35 minutes of independent riding to complete. Module 2: Practical Test

The Mod 2 test is an independent riding test that lasts about 10 minutes. The examiner will follow you along a predetermined route with different traffic and road conditions. Licensing
This course is appropriate for those who have completed their Module 1 and 2 completed and want to enhance their riding abilities and bond with their bike. Your guardian or parent should also complete the MSF's online course prior to taking your BRC class.
